Welcome to Moreton-Bribie Bridge Club.
The Moreton-Bribie Bridge Club was formed in early 1991 by a small band of dedicated local players. With no premises, play was arranged at various local venues including the Ningi Hall, the Blue Pacific Hotel, the Caboolture Bowls club and the Bribie Island Arts Centre.
From its earliest days, members were determined to raise sufficient funds to enable construction of their own clubhouse and many various forms of fundraising were used, including garage sales, Silver Circles and Art Unions. By 1999, about $50,000 had been accumulated and the then Caboolture Shire Council provided the club with a site on its Recreation Reserve.
Grant and loan applications were prepared and we were fortunate in obtaining a significant grant from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund as well as loans from the ABF, QBA and the local Council. A local builder completed the clubhouse by early 2000, with the official opening by ABF/QBA President Keith McDonald and a representative for Hon T McEnroth taking place on 3rd June 2000.
